Bolla Chiaretto di Bardolino DOC Classico Rosé
A rosé with character, straight from the heart of Veneto. This Chiaretto is a specialty of the Lake Garda region, where sun, chalky soil, and fresh breezes create a lively and elegant style. Bolla was one of the pioneers who put Bardolino on the international map, and you can still taste that in this refined rosé.
Vineyards and region – limestone, gravel and Lake Garda influence
The vineyards are located in the Bardolino Classico region on the southeastern shore of Lake Garda. Thanks to the combination of moraine gravel, limestone, and cooling air currents, the grapes ripen slowly and retain their fresh acidity and aromatic red fruit. The vines have an average age of 20 to 25 years.
Vinification and maturation – short skin maceration for colour and subtlety
After harvest, the grapes undergo a short, cold maceration, giving the wine its characteristic salmon-pink color. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature to optimally preserve the fruit. The wine then ages for several months on its fine lees, which imparts a subtle roundness and added complexity.
Grape composition
65% Corvina and Corvinone, 25% Rondinella, 10% Molinara.
Tasting notes
Light salmon pink in color. The nose is expressive with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and red berries. The palate is lively and fruit-driven, with a fresh attack, lovely acidity, and a dry, clean finish.
Serving suggestions
Ideal as an aperitif or with seafood risotto, Mediterranean tapas, or salads. Serve chilled between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius.
