Borgogno Era Ora Langhe Bianco shines as an exquisite white wine, made exclusively from the Riesling grape. Borgogno had long harbored the desire to create a white wine with the same aging potential as their red wines. The choice fell on Riesling, a grape known for its long aging and superior quality. After years of careful research and experimentation, Borgogno Era Ora Langhe Bianco was born.
Borgogno: A Historic Jewel in Piedmont
Located in the heart of Piedmont, Borgogno is known as perhaps the oldest winery in the region, with roots dating back to 1761. This historic winery champions traditional winemaking methods. With a vast 13-hectare vineyard, Borgogno strives for perfection by cultivating its grapes with patience and care, always prioritizing quality. A testament to their dedication is the Slow Wine certification that all their wines carry. This certification certifies sustainable agricultural practices and respect for natural rhythms, resulting in wines that are pure, honest, and authentic.
Each grape is carefully picked by hand. They then undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 to 20 days at a controlled temperature of 17 to 18 degrees Celsius. A selection of 20% of the wine is fermented for six months in oak barrels, after which the wine is aged for another six months in steel tanks and then for two months in bottle.
Borgogno Era Ora: A Symphony of Purity
The Borgogno Era Ora Langhe Bianco is a paragon of integrity and purity. This wine radiates a straw-yellow hue, enriched with subtle green highlights. The nose is captivated by the characteristic Riesling aromas: juicy white peach, refreshing citrus, and delicate floral notes, rounded out with a hint of spice. On the palate, a refreshing sensation emerges, supported by soft, balanced acidity and flavors of peach and citrus. The finish is long and refined, making this wine a true treat for the senses. An absolute masterpiece!
