Boroli Chardonnay Langhe Bel Amì
Boroli Langhe Chardonnay Bel Amì is a refined white wine from Piedmont, named after a novel symbolizing love and tradition in the Boroli family. This classic Chardonnay combines freshness and elegance, made from grapes from a smaller plot on the northern slope of Brunella. After a short cryomaceration, the wine is aged for several months in oak, which enhances the balance between mineral freshness and fruity finesse.
Vineyards and region
The grapes come from a handful of plots—about one hectare—on the northern slope of Brunella in Castiglione Falletto. The soil consists of clay and limestone (marl), and the old vines (15–30 years old) grow in Guyot-pruned rows. The cool climate of the Langhe enhances the mineral freshness and refined expression that characterize this Chardonnay.
Vinification and maturation
Hand-harvested followed by careful cluster selection. The wine undergoes 24–48 hours of cryomaceration before pressing to optimally extract aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, after which the wine matures for several months in oak tonneaux. The short, subtle oak aging adds texture without overpowering the fresh character.
