A classic from Brogsitter's already extensive range. This veteran of German wines holds a prominent place in the German wine scene, and once you've tasted them, you'll understand why. This winery is definitively leaving the era of sweet German wines behind and impressing with a wide range of dry wines.
The wines of Brogsitter
We'd like to introduce the Weissburgunder. While the name of this grape variety sounds German, it's not. Weissburgunder is simply the German name for Pinot Blanc, a grape variety that made waves in Alsace, among other places. Little by little, Pinot Blanc is moving eastward, where, if planted correctly, it can also produce successful wines. At Brogsetter, it has secured a place in the vineyards of Rheinhessen, where, thanks to the unique microclimate, the conditions for Pinot Blanc are excellent.
With this Brogsitter Terra Blanc Weissburgunder, the winery once again proves its strength. It's no wonder they've been a major player in the German market for decades. Thanks to their expertise and creativity, making a successful glass of wine is child's play. This is something Brogsitter has been excelling at for over four hundred years.
Impressions of Brogsitter Terra Blanc Weissburgunder
Knowing we're drinking the cousin of the well-known Pinot Blanc from Alsace, we're incredibly curious. How does it compare to its predecessors? We were certainly surprised, because Brogsitter Terra Blanc Weissburgunder seems to have more power and intensity. Bursting with minerals and just the right amount of fruitiness. Think fresh pears and refreshing citrus notes that will impress your taste buds.
