This refreshing drink comes from the relatively young Caliterra winery. Caliterra was founded in 1989 in Valle de Colchagua, a renowned Chilean wine region 130 kilometers south of the capital, Santiago. Caliterra was established in 1996 as a collaboration between two well-known wine families: the prominent Chilean wine family Chadwick, known for Vina Errazuriz, and the American Mondavi family. However, in 2004, the company changed course. The Chadwick family regained full ownership of Caliterra and decided to produce at a higher level. Today, they only produce wines at Reserva level or higher.
A refreshment from Chile
This Caliterra Reserva Sauvignon Blanc is the ultimate refreshment for any occasion. As soon as you open this white Sauvignon Blanc wine, the freshness bursts forth, and the Chilean sun begins to shine. For 15 years, Caliterra has used only grapes from its own vineyards to achieve a certain level of quality. During fermentation of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the temperature is kept relatively low. This allows the Caliterra Reserva Sauvignon Blanc to retain its wonderfully intense freshness. No oak aging is used to preserve the distinctive characteristics of the Sauvignon Blanc.
