Cramele Recas is known for its dry white wines, vinified using modern methods. It's crucial to optimally preserve the grape's fruity character. The vineyards are planted with the highest quality French and Italian vines, completely replanted in the 21st century. This also applies to the Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Only the very best grapes are selected for this sensual red wine. The quality is exceptionally high. A wine we won't soon forget!
The 600 hectare vineyard of Cramele Recas
Those who consider Romania new to the wine world are mistaken. It's a country with a long history. Research shows that winemaking has a tradition of over 6,000 years. The climate is continental, more temperate around the Danube, and even milder in the Black Sea coastal region. Numerous soil types exist, but the highly fertile brown and black soils are predominant.
The Calusari wines are a range of wines produced by the Cramele Recas winery. This estate, located in western Romania, was established in 1991. The 600-hectare vineyards were replanted at the beginning of the 21st century with only the highest quality vines. The cellar has also been completely renovated, and the vinification rooms are modern and efficient. The winemaking team is led by the Australian Hartley Smithers and the Spanish Nora Iriate. The quality is high, and thanks in part to the expertise of the management, the wines are world-renowned.
Enjoy this powerful Calusari Cabernet Sauvignon
As soon as we pour this aged Cabernet Sauvignon, a full aroma of ripe, sultry red fruit like blackcurrant and blackberry is immediately released. The flavor is also breathtaking. Full and juicy with mild tannins and a medium-length finish. An excellent wine with red meat, a barbecue, or a delicious cheese board.
