The Anselmi Capitel Foscarino has a very fine bouquet, soft on the palate, fruity and sweet, with a wonderful lightness and refinement. The grapes for the Anselmi Capitel Foscarino come from the Crulagen of the Foscarin vineyard. To guarantee the quality of this wine, the vines are halved in June. The first harvest takes place in September, and only the best and strongest vines are picked.

Anselmi's quality wines

Anselmi is one of the finest and most important wineries in the Soave region. After Roberto Anselmi took over his father's winery, he immediately began taking consistent measures to improve its quality. Since the 1999 vintage, he has decided not to label his wines with the "Soave" designation of origin. "San Vincenzo," "Capitel Foscarino," and "Capitel Croce" are the wines that have earned Anselmi a great reputation worldwide.

A wine with power and richness

For this wine, 90 percent Garganega and 10 percent Chardonnay are vinified together. The grapes are grown in the Capitel Foscarino vineyard, where Anselmi owns ten hectares. The soil is calcareous and of volcanic origin; the vineyards are located on the hills in the Soave region, approximately 350 meters above sea level. The grapes are rigorously harvested by hand. The selection is strict and therefore takes place twice. The grapes for this wine are always very ripe, resulting in a wine with power and richness. After a short maceration, the must is slowly fermented with its own yeast at controlled low temperatures. The wine is then aged for six months in stainless steel tanks. And the result is impressive. The wine is golden yellow in color, and the nose reveals aromas of apple, citrus, and peach. A subtle spicy note is also noticeable in the background. The palate of this white wine is soft and rounded, its texture creamy, supported by fine acidity. Furthermore, this Anselmi white wine is full-bodied, with a slightly bitter finish that is long and complex.
