The quality of Casa Ermelinda
About 50 kilometers from Lisbon lies the small village of Fernando Po. Casa Ermelinda Freitas winery has been located here since 1920. Today, the fourth generation is at the helm of this winery and its 240 hectares of vineyards. Primarily using native grape varieties, Ermelinda Freitas distinguishes itself from the rest. Each wine in the range has its own unique character and flavor profile. Quality is paramount, as is the case with this La Tulipa Rose. Significant investments have also been made in the winery, and since 2010, they have been using a brand new winery. Storage and production capacity have increased significantly, and with it, the variety of wines on offer.
The grapes for this Rosé are grown on the Setubal Peninsula. The soil is predominantly sandy, and the climate is perfect. Warm days alternate with cool nights, promoting ripening. The grapes are carefully harvested with the highest quality standards. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature in the winery. After the necessary rest, it's time to enjoy this rich and refreshing wine.
