Brothers Paola and Guid Ghercina are following in the footsteps of their father and grandfather, representing the fourth generation of winemakers in the family. Cascina Ghercina has been a household name in the Piedmont region of Italy for almost 150 years. They strive to produce wines for wine lovers passionate about Piedmontese wines and constantly seeking quality and tradition. The vineyards are located southwest of the Piedmont region at an altitude of 360 meters in the municipality of Alba. Cascina Gherina's wines are all made from grapes grown on the estate (not cooperatives) and offer excellent value for money. The name Cascina Ghercina comes from the Ghercina River. Thanks to this river and the high altitude, the grapes benefit from an exclusive microclimate. The grapes for this wine are grown in four villages in the Barbaresco district. This wine immediately stands out with its garnet-red color with orange hues. The floral bouquet, with notes of red fruit jam and geranium, also comes to the fore. Perfect for elegant occasions!
