The specific champagnes of Baron
The Baron family has owned a vineyard in Charly-sur-Marne, in the western part of the Champagne region, since the 17th century. Dolores Fuenté is the daughter of Spanish immigrants. Gabriel Baron and Dolores Fuenté met at a local dance hall and married in 1961. As a symbol of their union, Gabriel Baron and Dolores Fuenté founded the Baron Fuenté estate in 1967. The first bottles of wine were produced and sold from the house at that time. The estate has since grown annually. Today, the estate has 38 hectares of vineyards, and the Baron family owns the Baron Fuenté brand.
This Champagne is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. This blend showcases the best of a Meunier from the Marne Valley. The grapes grow on the banks of the Charly-sur-Marne river. It is precisely these grapes that give Champagne its distinctive flavor.
A perfect aperitif for special occasions
This Tradition Brut matures for at least three years in Baron Fuente's cellars, during which time it develops its soft mousse (bubbles) and refined, rich character. On the nose, this Baron Fuente Tradition Brut offers notes of toast, citrus fruit, apples, and a hint of brioche. The palate is soft and rich, with beautiful nuances of candied and dried fruit, as well as citrus peel and minerals. A top-of-the-line Champagne in our range. This is the perfect Champagne as an aperitif for special occasions or as a cocktail. It's also the ideal partner for salmon on toast.
