From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

This Rosé Vintage can only be made in the best harvest years because all the grapes are from the Vintage year. A vintage champagne also ages longer in the cellar at Champagne Deutz, making it a much stronger and fuller-bodied champagne. The grapes for the Vintage Rosé come from rigorously selected Pinot Noir grapes from the best vineyards and the finest Chardonnay fields. We can assure you this combination is golden, because this Vintage Rosé Champagne is truly exceptional. At the ideal ripeness, the grapes are harvested and transported in small crates to Ay. Ay is where Champagne Deutz is located, and each vineyard is vinified individually. This Vintage Rosé is made up of dozens of different vineyards. It's up to Deutz's cellar master to create the perfect blend, a process that takes weeks. Every morning at 11:00 a.m., the new blend is tasted by a team of specialists, including Jean Marc, who currently holds the helm and, of course, has the final say.

After the ultimate blend is created, the bottles are filled with yeast and sugar and cellared for at least five years. This gives this Vintage Rosé plenty of time to develop a beautiful mousse. The aromas and flavors are enhanced, and the result is a true celebration. Unlike standard champagnes, this one is made from a single harvest. Only in the best years is a vintage champagne produced. The distinctive color is achieved by adding 8% still red wine, Pinot Noir, from the Ay region.

The color is a rich salmon pink with a golden sparkle. On the nose, this elegant Champagne boasts aromas of fresh raspberry and Morello cherries with a hint of blossom. The soft mousse is typical of Deutz. The rich flavor offers beautiful nuances of red fruit and a hint of rhubarb and exotic fruits like lychee. Enjoying this gem is a true treat! If you want something a little more than a rosé Champagne, try this Vintage, and the smile will remain on your face.
