Ernest Rapeneau's adventure began in the French village of Hautvilliers in 1901. He founded the eponymous winery. It wasn't until 1927 that he began to specialize entirely in champagne. Besides being an exceptionally skilled businessman, he also had a deep love for Champagne wines. And perhaps that was the beginning of his success. His love and passion for champagne led to much success in the years that followed. After 50 years of hard work and the reputation he built, it was time to enjoy his retirement. His two sons took over the business, and today the third and fourth generations are at the helm. It's a true family business, where each family member is given the opportunity to carve out their own position within the company. They hold on to tradition, but there's also room for improvement where necessary. This ensures that the 10,000 square meters of wine cellar remain perfectly passable to the next generation. This Brut champagne has become a very elegant wine, thanks to the champagne house's high level of craftsmanship. The finest Chardonnay grapes are harvested entirely by hand. During the vinification process, the wine is produced according to the traditional Champagne method. Everything is geared towards a fine bubble and a fresh, rich character.
