A subtly sweet champagne from the beloved Jacquart house. Jacquart's style is characterized by a relatively high Chardonnay content, giving this champagne a wonderful flavor. The Demi Sec is slightly less dry than its Brut sibling, making it more accessible. One thing is certain: you have a huge selection of Champagne from this Champagne house.
The growth of Champagne House Jacquart
In 1962, Champagne House Jacquart began as a daring project by several winegrowers in Reims. They decided to join forces and turn their backs on the large Champagne houses on which everyone depended. Thanks to their expertise and a great deal of perseverance, the Champagne House has now secured a place among the great houses. Together, they own over 800 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Champagne region, 22 hectares of which are Premier Cru and 10 hectares are even classified as Grand Cru. An exceptional level at a very attractive price.
This Champagne is crafted with great care. The long, three-year aging process in the Jacquart cellars has given this wine a very elegant and fine mousse. This Champagne is made according to the Méthode Traditionelle, with a second fermentation in the bottle. Two grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, are used for this process. During one of the final steps in the Champagne production process, the so-called "liqueur d'expédition" (shipping liquor) is added to the wine. A certain amount of sugar is dissolved in this. For demi-sec, this is 35-50 grams of sugar per liter, giving the Champagne a subtle sweetness.
The fruity aromas of Champagne Jacquart Mosaïque Demi Sec
A golden yellow color, a floral bouquet, and a sensation of white fruit with notes of almonds and nuts. The initial palate is smooth and has a fine, light, and rich texture. Fruity aromas of roasted almonds develop. The softness unfolds to emphasize the delicacy of the fruit. Recommended as an appetizer with a dish like foie gras or with poultry or duck. It can also be enjoyed as a light and refreshing dessert wine with pastries, cakes, or ice cream.
