Pommery's Blanc de Blancs from the Apanage line is a rich, fresh, and taut Champagne with excellent structure. Its long maturation gives it beautiful complexity. This cuvée is made from a carefully selected selection of Chardonnay grapes, giving it a wine with elegance and freshness.
Pommery champagnes with finesse
The wine is marketed by the Vranken Pommery group, founded by Paul-Francois Vranken. Pommery joined this group in 2002. The Pommery Champagne house was founded in 1836 in Reims by Louis Alexandre Pommery. The Champagnes are cheerful and light with a certain finesse, elegance, and intensity. The Brut Apanage is a gastronomic Champagne dominated by the Chardonnay grape. The blend is complemented by Pinot Meunier and a small addition of Pinot Noir. It is very similar to the Brut Royal but has a touch more finesse. Another major difference is that this Brut Apanage is aged for six months longer.
The grapes are carefully harvested, with quality and ripeness paramount. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are selected and immediately pressed for juice. Alcohol is then added during the fermentation process, and the fermentation process continues. The addition of wines from different vintages gives the champagnes their unique and intense flavors and aromas.
The elegance aromas of Champagne Pommery Brut Apanage
The Pommery Brut Apanage shines with a pale gold color in the glass. Clear and sparkling, it has a remarkably elegant nose that evokes springtime. Subtle floral notes of jasmine and acacia intertwine with hints of lime. Initially incredibly fresh, the longer you savor the aromas, the greater complexity reveals itself, revealing fruity citrus notes. The aroma is first and foremost reflected in the taste. Citrus and white fruit dominate. The finish is perfectly balanced with a subtle, lingering flavor.
