Description
This beautiful family château is run by the Richard Bies family, a well-known figure in the Saint-Émilion region. The family has been passed down through generations, and their knowledge of the wine region is priceless. In the mid-20th century, Denis Biès founded Château Saint-Christophe, which currently produces approximately 50,000 bottles from its Grand Cru vineyards in the heart of Saint-Émilion. The old vines, some 50 to 60 years old, produce some of the finest bunches in the region, and they are harvested by hand. A small portion is harvested by machine, but that is only possible on flat vineyards. The selection is rigorous and is carried out under the supervision of the winemaker at Château Tour Saint Christophe.
Wood aging for the Chateau Tour Saint Christophe
The entire wine is aged for a full 15 months in oak barrels to give it all the rest it needs. It's a true sensation, with aromas of cassis fruit, vanilla, and oak, a touch of spice with a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is incredibly delicate, with refined tannins making it very exciting and full of cassis fruit. The back of the palate reveals lovely nuances of vanilla, spice, and some plums.Product details
