The old vineyards for this red Bordeaux are filled with grapes from the iconic varietals: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and, of course, Cabernet Sauvignon. They produce magnificent harvests, but this doesn't happen automatically. With the spirit of Haut Brion, the grapes are truly treated like true stars. Through extensive work in the vineyards, they grow large and very powerful. This is thanks to the beautiful climate in the vineyards, abundant sunshine, and a fresh sea breeze, ensuring a top harvest.

Completely hand-harvested for this red Clarendelle

Once the grapes reach perfect ripeness, they are hand-harvested for this red Clarendelle. Each bunch is inspected, and only the finest are selected to make this red wine. They are transported in small crates to the press, where they undergo a gentle pressing. The beautiful, deep red juice is then collected and placed in wooden barrels. A crucial period for this Clarendelle. Oak aging takes at least 24 months before it is ready. Because, just like Haut Brion, only the best is good enough for this red wine.

What a treat it is; it all begins with the opening of the cork. The stately bottle and exceptionally beautiful label immediately reveal that we are dealing with a top-notch wine. Once the cork is uncorked, the aromas immediately reveal black fruit and light spices. In the glass, it truly unleashes, revealing impressive aromas of black fruit, licorice, light spices, and vanilla. The palate boasts a beautiful, classic tone, refined tannins with plenty of cassis fruit, familiar from the finest Bordeaux wines. On the palate, a lovely interplay of spices, cedar, vanilla, and plums. The finish of this red Clarendelle is a classic Bordeaux, with plenty of length, richness, and a velvety finish.
