Clos Amador's Rosé Cava is made from the Trepat grape. Not many Cavas are pressed from this grape anymore because it's somewhat more difficult to cultivate. But the juice it produces is truly phenomenal, very rich and flavorful. The old vineyard for this Clos Amador Rosé is planted at altitudes of three hundred and seven hundred meters, which immediately imparts a wonderful freshness. The Clos Amador winemaker aims to create a full-bodied yet refreshing rosé cava, and that's only possible at high altitudes.
The old vineyard of Clos Amador Cava
Clos Amador is part of Pere Ventura, a well-known producer of top-quality Cava. For this rosé, too, every effort is made to achieve a top result. The old vineyard in Conca de Barberà is now over twenty years old and is producing a magnificent, full harvest. Thanks to the cool conditions at the high altitude, the grapes are protected from mold and disease, resulting in an excellent harvest of the Trepat grape. After a calm growing season with plenty of sunshine thanks to the vineyards' location on a south-facing slope, the grapes are harvested by hand.
The aroma and taste of the rosé Cava from Clos Amador
This Rosé Cava is also made according to the traditional method. This means it matures in the bottle for at least twelve months, developing its beautiful, soft bubbles. This is the same technique used for French Champagne, giving Clos Amador its soft and gentle flavor. The aroma offers a beautiful interplay of berries and notes of red candy and roses. The taste of this Clos Amador Brut Rosé Cava is pure and very elegant; beautiful, fine bubbles with abundant red fruit make it a highly sought-after cava. Truly a classy cava!
