Damilano is one of the oldest wineries in Piedmont and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. The estate is known worldwide for its Barolos, but with ZeroSette, it proves that Barbera also shines in their hands. This Barbera d'Asti is made exclusively from the Barbera grape , a variety prized for its crisp acidity and refined elegance.
Vinification without wood
For ZeroSette, the grapes are carefully harvested in the hills of Asti. The wine is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel tanks, preserving the pure fruit and vibrant structure. The result is a wine in which Barbera expresses its pure, energetic character, untouched by oak aging.
The Damilano winery
The winery is located in La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe region. While Damilano made its name with Barolo, they also have a clear mission to showcase the versatility of Piedmont. With wines like this ZeroSette, they prove that Barbera can shine just as well, always with the characteristic precision and respect for the terroir that defines Damilano.
Volume 2023
The 2023 harvest in Piedmont yielded an excellent vintage . The wines are lively and expressive, with fresh acidity that gives the Barbera extra tension. Thanks to its accessible structure, the wine is delicious even when young, while its beautiful balance ensures it will continue to refine in the coming years.
