Description
A beautiful wine from a vineyard in the Riberio region of Galicia. This Spanish wine has a distinctly Mediterranean character thanks to the warm daytime sun and the refreshing Atlantic breeze. This gives this white wine a natural acidity and a balanced freshness.
Manual harvest for Daponte Treixadura Seleccion
Since 1955, the Chaves winery has been a household name in the Rías Baixas appellation. They produce exquisite wines from varieties including the Albarino grape. It is a true family business that operates with great respect for nature. Founder José Chaves quickly realized he wanted his vineyards at the westernmost tip of the Atlantic Ocean. He inspired his family, generation after generation, to pursue the same dream. In 1986, the winery was among the first to release protected wines. This also helped create the famous Rías Baixas appellation. With great dedication, passion, and perseverance, the third generation is now at the helm. When the Treixadura grapes are ripe enough, they are harvested entirely by hand and transported to the winery in small crates. Once arrived, they undergo rigorous selection and fermentation at a controlled temperature of around 16 degrees Celsius. The wine is then aged on lees for three months, which gives it its complexity and creaminess. Finally, the wine is aged for another month in stainless steel tanks. The striking aromas of Daponte Treixadura Seleccion
The Daponte Treixadura Seleccion emerges in the glass with a pale yellow color. The aroma jumps out clearly and is very expressive. We note a noticeable spiciness balanced by fresh notes of citrus and peach. The palate is also spicy. A somewhat earthy wine, but counteracting this is a fruity character that emerges in the taste. This makes this wine nicely balanced with spicy notes and plenty of freshness.Product details
