Description
There are, of course, many white wines made from Pinot Grigio grapes, but none quite like this one from the De Stefani winery. For over fifty years, the ancient vines have stood in the clay soil of Veneto. Thanks to the perfect climate in which the Pinot Grigio grapes grow, the harvest is a true fairytale. The many hours of sunshine give the grapes precisely the right sugar content. The fresh breeze blowing through the vineyards ensures a calm growing season. The Pinot Grigio grapes retain their refined acidity, which you can taste later in the taste. The soil structure in which the vines are planted is also unique and is called "caranto," a mix of mostly clay with white and dolomitic stones.
Completely hand-harvested for this De Stefani Pinot Grigio
At the perfect ripeness, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand. The harvest itself is small because Mr. De Stefani wants full, powerful bunches, and for this reason, he pruned many bunches early in the season. Each bunch is inspected and visually inspected; only the best is good enough for this Pinot Grigio. This makes this white De Stefani more than just a glass of Italian wine. The aroma and taste of the Pinot Grigio from the De Stefani winery
The Stefani Pinot Grigio has a beautiful straw yellow color with lovely aromas of white fruit like apple and pear interspersed with a delicate hint of citrus and almond. This DeStefani white wine is very elegant on the palate. Nicely crisp and dry with hints of pear, citrus, slightly toasted nuts, and a subtle hint of almond. A Pinot Grigio as it truly should be. What a magnificent, top-notch wine!Product details
