The Merlot grapes are harvested entirely by hand to select only the finest fruit for this red wine. After harvesting, the grapes are transported in small crates to the winery, where they are pressed. Before aging, approximately 50% of the wine is aged in stainless steel vats and 50% in used French oak barrels. This light oak aging adds complexity and finesse, giving this red wine its silky smooth character. Delbeaux is a wine cooperative founded on a passion for wine. Upon pouring, we immediately notice the beautiful deep ruby red color. The aroma offers a broad bouquet of cherries, berries, and plums complemented by a touch of spice and a faint hint of vanilla. The taste is like falling onto a down comforter, so soft and refined. Beautiful flavors of red and black fruit and a hint of toffee and cherry jam. The finish is smooth, warm, and wonderfully long!
