The ideal climate for Begude Pinot Noir

In 2003, a long-cherished dream of the British couple came true with Domaine Begude. Situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the winery has received numerous awards from the international wine press. The vineyards are entirely organic, and they work hard to harvest the finest grapes. The estate covers 72 hectares, 29 of which are planted with vines. At an altitude of 350 meters, the vineyards enjoy the perfect climate. Nighttime temperatures drop significantly, offsetting the warm daytime weather. This ultimately results in grapes with excellent acidity. The Pinot Noir grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a rigorous selection process. The grapes are then destemmed, pressed, and prepared for fermentation. After fermentation, the wine is finally aged for 12 months in oak barrels. During this period, the wine develops into one of the finest Pinot Noirs from France.
