The vineyards of Domaine Berthelemot Pernand Vergelesses Belles
The vineyards are located in Pernand Vergelesses, just north of the important city of Beaune. A perfect location for winegrowing. The Domaine Berthelemot winery was established when the founder merged two vineyards owned by other wineries. As a result, the vines for the Chardonnay grape are exceptionally old. The vineyards for this white wine were planted as early as 1985. For almost 40 years, the finest Chardonnay grapes have been grown here, thanks in part to its prime location. The grapes for Domaine Berthelemot Pernand Vergelesses Belles are grown on the most beautiful slopes of Pernand Vergelesses.
A white wine from Burgundy
Along with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay is the most important grape variety in Burgundy. It produces the most prestigious wines, which are highly sought after worldwide. How about a Meursault or a Puligny Montrachet? All top wines featuring Chardonnay grapes. This white wine is a bit sweeter and more approachable. This is immediately noticeable in the aroma. You smell distinct minerals and soft tropical fruit. A floral note is immediately discernible to the discerning wine drinker. The taste is typical of Pernand: fresh, lively, balanced, and slightly salty. A delight for lovers of white Burgundy wines.
