The wines of the Cotes de Gascogne are more popular than ever. Their fresh style, combined with their aromatic character and ultimate friendliness, is attracting many wine drinkers to this region in southwestern France. The Swiss Gessner family first discovered this passion a century earlier, when they began producing Armagnac. Now, it's one of the most prestigious wineries in the Cotes de Gascogne, and unlike others, they also excel at producing delicious red wines.

The wines of Domaine de Joy

The fourth generation now manages the estate's daily operations. For many decades, Domaine de Joy has cultivated no less than 170 hectares of vineyards. Primarily focused on wine, it remains a symbolic small area for Armagnac. The Côtes de Gascogne region is dominated by white grape varieties. The freshness of the ocean allows their quality to truly shine. However, Domaine de Joy is different and has planted a generous number of red grape varieties. Unconventional, yet incredibly successful in practice.

The scent and taste of Famille Gessler La Vie en Joy Red

A red wine from the Cotes de Gascogne. They certainly exist, but you rarely see them. This version, the Famille Gessler La Vie en Joy Red, is perhaps the best. The winery translates the boundless potential of the Cotes de Gascogne into successful wines. The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, originally from Bordeaux further north, blend perfectly in this wine. A balanced spectacle between the juiciness of the Merlot and the complexity of the Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, primarily red fruit with a soft touch of cassis and blueberry. A little spicy, but never too intense. Simply a good glass of wine to crack open when enjoying drinks with friends.
