A balanced rosé made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes. This grape is primarily found in dark red wines from Sicily. But it's also an excellent choice for a rosé. Accessible and delightfully refreshing. The vineyards are situated several hundred meters above sea level, giving the wine a fresh and elegant character. At this altitude, the heat alternates with a cooling breeze. A glass full of fruity notes and vibrancy.
The modernized winery Feudo Arancio
On the coast of Sicily lie the vineyards of the Feudo Arancio winery. Over the years, they have grown into one of the country's leading wineries. In 2001, it was acquired by Mezzacorona and completely modernized. It is designed entirely in accordance with Sicilian traditions and with great respect for nature. Today, the latest and most modern techniques are used to vinify wine as effectively as possible. The team is young and dynamic, working with great passion and dedication in the winery. Where the winery was in need of renovation, the soil proved to be excellent. Therefore, they are still able to use old vines.
In the vineyards of Sambuca and Aceta, the Nero d'Avola grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness. After harvest, they are taken almost immediately to the winery where they are gently pressed. The resulting must is left on the skins for 8 to 10 hours. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is bottled immediately to preserve its freshness.
