This Floreado Sauvignon Blanc from the Andrian winery is undoubtedly one of the finest wines from the Italian Alto Adige region. Thanks to the southern location of the Alto Adige region, wines made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes have a fuller and softer character. This makes this wine very appealing.

Unique location for the Sauvignon Blanc vineyards

Cantina Andriano was founded in 1893 and was the first cooperative in Alto Adige. The vineyards are unique to the area because they are protected to the west by Mount Gantkofel, a dolomite and limestone formation. The peak of this mountain has eroded over the years, forming a downward-sloping hillside with deposited soil at the foot of this valley. The vineyards face south and lie at an altitude of 260 to 340 meters above sea level. This fertile, calcareous clay soil is typical of the area and leaves its mark on the wine's character. The vineyards enjoy sunshine from early morning until mid-afternoon. These cooler climatic conditions, compared to other areas in Alto Adige, are responsible for the wines' sharp acidity, which gives them their unique complexity and freshness. The wines are elegant and have good aging potential.

A delicious summer wine from Andrian

Radiant freshness and intense aroma are the two qualities that make the Sauvignon "Floreado" from the Andrian winery stand out. The grapes are gently pressed and aged for six months in stainless steel tanks. In its pale yellow, the "Floreado" shimmers green and, from the glass, exudes strong aromas of tropical fruit, gooseberries, and elderflower. The Sauvignon's palate is distinguished by its excellent acidity, firm body, and lingering finish. A delicious summer wine with Mediterranean fish dishes, light appetizers, or creamy cream cheese.
