Gosset Champagne for connoisseurs
The story of the Gosset family goes back more than four centuries. In 1584, its namesake, Pierre Gosset, founded the winery. At that time, Gosset primarily produced red, still wines using the harvest from its own vineyards. This makes Gosset the oldest winery in Champagne. In the 18th century, production shifted from still wines to sparkling wines. To ensure all wines retain their natural fruitiness, they carefully avoid malolactic fermentation. This also allows the wine to age longer. Today, the name Gosset is synonymous with a guarantee of excellence for all connoisseurs of fine Champagne. All champagnes are presented in the antique butt, identical to that of the 18th century.
Full and very powerful this Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs
The grapes are carefully selected and aged on lees to prevent any risk of premature oxidation. The wine then matures for three years in old cellars kept at a constant temperature, much longer than the legal minimum of fifteen months. This Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs has beautiful aromas of citrus fruit, minerals, and refined acidity. The palate is truly exceptional, refined with hints of green apple, citrus, chalk, and refined acidity that give this beautifully fresh Champagne its character. With a dosage of 8 grams of sugar per liter, this Gosset Blanc de Blancs is fresh with beautiful acidity and a refined minerality. This Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs therefore has a high minerality, making it a perfect pairing with oysters, shellfish, and lobster!
