The old vineyard for the rosé Champagne of Gosset

Gosset is the oldest Champagne estate in the region. Its origins date back to 1584, when it was founded by the nobleman and namesake Pierre Gosset, who was also mayor of the village of Aÿ that same year. Their wines, produced in Aÿ, were served alongside the finest Burgundies at the tables of European royal courts. The estate's reputation for outstanding quality begins in its vineyards, where they use only the finest grapes sourced from Premier and Grand Cree vineyards in the Marne region. Located in France's northernmost wine region, the vineyards are world-renowned for their sparkling wines. The soil is highly calcareous, making it ideal for growing grapes.

The scent and taste of the Gosset Grand Rose

This champagne is made from a variety of grape varieties: 58 percent Chardonnay, 35 percent Pinot Noir, and seven percent Vin Rouge. The grapes are carefully selected and aged on lees to prevent any risk of premature oxidation. The wine then ages for three years in old, temperature-controlled cellars, far longer than the legal minimum of fifteen months. The aroma reveals a beautiful bouquet of fresh strawberries, a touch of citrus, and a full, intense, refined aroma. The palate, as we've come to expect from this house, is absolutely superb, with abundant red fruit and beautiful notes of strawberry and berry. This refreshing and sparkling wine pairs perfectly with refreshing appetizers and fish dishes.
