Do you have something to celebrate, or do you love sparkling wines as much as we do? Then this Graham Beck Brut Magnum, with a volume of 1.5 liters, is the perfect sparkling white wine. The winemaker of this sparkling gold fell into the wine business by chance. After studying dentistry, he wanted to change his career and, thanks to support from a winemaker friend, got the chance to work with Achim von Arnim of Haute Cabrière. He really got his teeth into it. After this experience, he gained experience in the Champagne region of France. It was there that his love for sparkling wines was born. In 1990, Pieter Ferreira, as the winemaker is known, was given the opportunity to join the Graham Beck team. At the time, they were looking for an expert in sparkling wines!

Large bottle of Graham Beck Brut

This Graham Beck brut is made from two grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and is presented in a beautiful Magnum bottle. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully transported to the press in small crates. The pressing takes place in Graham Beck's cellars. The musts then undergo separate fermentation, creating the perfect blend for this delicious brut. Once the perfect blend has been created, the wine is bottled with yeast and rests in the bottle for 15 to 18 months. During this period, the beautiful, subtle bubbles develop. The result is a wonderfully delicate and festive sparkling white wine, also known as Vonkel Wyn in South Africa. Because this sparkling wine is presented in a Magnum bottle, the bottle aging is particularly good. The festive character of this wine is evident, as evidenced by the inaugurations of both Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama. They both favored this delicious Graham Beck Brut. The 1.5-liter Magnum bottles were also available.

What does the Graham Beck taste like?

Pouring this Magnum reveals a light golden color with delicate bubbles dancing in the glass. The nose reveals aromas of fresh citrus and notes of ripe white fruit. On the palate, this Graham Beck Brut boasts a rich, creamy complexity accompanied by a very fine mousse that contributes to the freshness and finesse of this brut. The finish is rich and smooth, with a pleasant tingle on the tongue thanks to the beautiful mousse. How lovely would it be to give this large 1.5-liter bottle as a gift or to share it with others?
