This special Gruner Veltliner is called Terrasse Reipersberg, a special vineyard where all the conditions are optimal for Gruner Veltliner. Gruber Röschitz knows exactly where the best spots are, and we can tell!

The best Grüner Veltliner

This is certainly one of the finest Grüner Veltliner wines. This DAC Terrasse Reipersberg has a beautiful, deep straw-yellow color and an elegant yet powerful style. The wine comes from the Weinviertel wine region in Lower Austria, the first region in Austria to receive a DAC for Riesling and Grüner Veltliner wines, and since 2009, also a Weinviertel DAC Reserve. Lower Austria is one of three Austrian Länder designated as a separate wine region. This unique region, stretching from the Danube to the border with the Czech Republic in the north and Slovakia in the east, is Austria's largest wine region. The soil in the area consists primarily of loess with a relatively high limestone content. This results in wines with strong aromatic potential and full character, and this beautiful Grüner Veltliner is a prime example. The wine is produced by the top Austrian winery Gruber Röschitz. Ewald Gruber is at the helm of this winery. He built it up single-handedly. He sees the Austrian region as a place of limitless potential. He established the company at a time when the vineyards of Niederösterreich and Weinviertal DAC still lacked a strong reputation. This allowed him to expand relatively easily by purchasing high-quality land for vineyards.

A dry, smooth white wine from Gruber

This attractive white wine boasts delightful aromas of herbs, a hint of green pepper, yellow plums, apple, and flowers. Dry and smooth, it tastes deliciously juicy with a lovely acidity and a slightly ripe apple flavor. It's perfect as an aperitif, but also pairs wonderfully with rice and risotto dishes, fresh salads like those with goat cheese, and soft cheeses.
