A beautiful blend of 50 percent Sangiovese and 50 percent Montepulciano grapes, this Il Conte Villa Prandone Conte Rosso is a fruity and complex wine with a full, rounded flavor.
The story behind Il Conte Villa Prandone
The Il Conte Villa Prandone wine estate boasts a rich history stretching far back in time. Nestled among the stunning hills of Monteprandone in the province of Ascoli Piceno, this estate is an oasis of natural beauty. Grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot, Passerina, Pecorino, and Trebbiano are grown here. The success of these wines is the result of years of experience and a passion for the vineyards and the land. Thanks to the ideal microclimate, created by a combination of a light breeze from the Adriatic Sea and the breeze from the Sibillini Mountains, the grapes can ripen optimally. This results in wines of exceptional quality and flavor.
The Sangiovese and Montepulciano vines are planted in an idyllic setting with limestone and clay soil. This unique terroir provides the perfect conditions for these grapes to grow and ripen fully. The result is a magnificent harvest, harvested entirely by hand to ensure the quality of the grapes. Once in the cellar, the grapes undergo careful processing. They are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This process takes 8 to 10 days and allows the wine to develop its unique flavors and aromas. After fermentation, there is a period of "sur lie" aging, which means the wine remains in contact with the yeast cells created during fermentation. This aging takes place in stainless steel tanks for 6 months and results in a more intense aroma and a richer flavor profile.
A complex and fruity Conte Rosso full of flavour and elegance
The Conte Rosso is a complex and fruity wine with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and strawberries. The aroma is intense and elegant, with hints of herbs and spices. The palate is full and rounded, with a fine tannic structure and a pleasant finish. This wine achieves an excellent balance of fruitiness, acidity, and alcohol content, reflecting the quality and character of the grapes and the region. Conterosso is an excellent choice for an evening of dining with family or friends and pairs well with a wide variety of dishes, including rich pastas, grilled meats, and robust cheeses.
