This crowd-pleaser from Jansz has been a huge success in our range for years. This winery is truly special. It's located on Tasmania, an island near Australia. It's named after Abel Janszoon Tasman, the Dutch explorer who discovered Tasmania in 1642. Janzs has been active on the island since 1975. Initially, their production was modest, but after a partnership with Louis Roederer was established in 1986, things took off. The wines are often called the Champagne of Australia. Once you try a bottle of Jansz Premium Non-Vintage Brut Cuvée, you'll immediately understand why.
The vineyards of Jansz Premium Brut Cuvee
The vineyards are located in the northeast of Tasmania. This area is slightly cooler than the rest of the island. The climate is comparable to the French Champagne region. Therefore, the transition to sparkling wines was an easy one. Just like Champagne, Jansz Premium Non Vintage Brut Cuvée uses Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This sparkling wine is aged using the same traditional method as Champagne, resulting in a characteristic mousse.
The aroma and taste of Jansz Premium Brut Cuvee
The moment you pop the cork on this wine, the enjoyment begins. The aroma of Jansz Premium Non Vintage Brut Cuvée is easily mistaken for champagne. A subtle aroma of brioche and citrus is instantly recognizable. Take a sip, and the corners of your mouth will turn upward. A silky mousse tickles your taste buds. Nuances of citrus and peach are clearly discernible. This makes us happy. We're not the only ones who are big fans of Jansz Premium Non Vintage Brut Cuvée. Harold Hamersma gave this sparkling wine a whopping 9 out of 10!
