The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Jaume Serra Reserva Brut Nature is a dry, fresh Cava with fine bubbles and a remarkably clean style. This Reserva is made from Chardonnay, Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel·lo, receives its mousse via the traditional second fermentation in the bottle, and is aged for at least 18 months in the cellar. As a result, it combines citrus, white fruit, vibrant acidity, and a refined touch of brioche.

This Cava comes from the D.O. Cava, the Spanish designation for sparkling wines produced according to the traditional method.

Location / Origin: Jaume Serra is located in Vilanova i la Geltrú, near Barcelona, on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Region: Cava is made using the traditional method, with a second fermentation in the bottle. This gives the wine its fine mousse, small bubbles, and fresh structure.

Style: Brut Nature is drier than Brut, as no extra sugar is added to correct the residual sweetness. This keeps the taste crisp, fresh, and refined.

Aging: Thanks to a minimum of 18 months of bottle aging, this Cava is entitled to the name Reserva. That extra aging provides subtle notes of brioche in addition to citrus and white fruit, as well as extra softness in the mousse.

The vinification process is focused on fine bubbles, freshness, and a dry, elegant finish.

Base wine: The base wine is made from Chardonnay, Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel·lo. Together, these grapes ensure freshness, fruit, structure, and roundness.

Second fermentation: After adding sugar and selected yeasts, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. This is the same traditional method by which Cava obtains its natural bubbles.

Cellar rest: The bottles are aged for at least 18 months in the cellar at approximately 16 °C. This quiet aging helps to make the mousse finer and adds more depth to the flavor.

Brut Nature finishing: After the yeast is removed, the expedition liqueur is added without correcting the residual sugar content. This keeps the style extra dry and precise.

Alcohol percentage: With 11.5% alcohol, this Cava remains light, fresh, and easy to drink.

This Reserva Brut Nature is made from classic Cava grapes, supplemented with Chardonnay for extra roundness.

Chardonnay – Cava: Chardonnay gives the wine more roundness, softness, and a subtle brioche-like depth.

Macabeo – Cava: Macabeo provides white fruit, soft citrus, and an accessible base.

Parellada – Cava: Parellada brings elegance, floral notes, and freshness to the blend.

Xarel·lo – Cava: Xarel·lo adds structure, vibrant acidity, and a tighter, dry finish.
