Pioneer Jean Claude Mas founded the winery in 1892. To this day, his descendants continue to keep the legacy alive. The planted area is unlimited, allowing them to continue experimenting. Their latest project is the Jean Claude Mas 'Mon' wines. Only in this way can the winemaker ensure the quality of Jean Claude Mas Grenache reaches unparalleled heights. With an average age of 20 years, we also have relatively old vines—especially by Grenache standards. After pressing and fermentation, a quarter of the precious juice is aged in oak for about five months, four-fifths of which are in American oak. This provides that little something extra that distinguishes Jean Claude Mas Grenache from all other wines.
