For many generations, the Korsic family has cultivated vineyards in the Collio region, located in the northeasternmost part of Italy, bordering Slovenia. The winery is situated in the picturesque hilltop village of San Floriano, overlooking the rolling hills of Collio to the south and the Alps to the north. The warm currents of the Adriatic Sea keep the grapes dry, while the Julian Alps to the north protect them from cold currents and rains, along with the unique fossilized soils. In late September, the Friulano grapes are selected and harvested entirely by hand. The grapes are transported in boxes to the winery. Fermentation takes place in the cellar at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged in stainless steel vats with its own yeast. The wine is bottled and then rested for another two months. And then it's time to enjoy this Italian gem.
