Varietal(s) Grenache Noir

The best of the best from the Languedoc region comes together in this red wine. Ripe Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Carignan grapes. The coast played a significant role in the final freshness of this wine. It's not without reason that it's called La Cote, which means "coast" in French.

Fresh and elegant Chateau La Negly wines

On the shores of the Etang de Pissevache lake and in the foothills of the Massif de la Clape, Château La Negly produces exquisite wines. On one side of the vineyards lies a vast nature reserve, while on the other, the sea exerts a strong influence. Both have a positive effect on the grapes. The gentle sea breeze provides the necessary cooling at night, allowing the grapes to build acidity. This, in turn, results in fresh and elegant wines. At the helm is the Paux-Rosset family, with current owner Jean Paux-Rosset taking over the winery in 1992. He is responsible for the transition to higher-quality wines. At peak ripeness, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand and taken almost immediately to the cellar to prevent oxidation. Here, the grapes are rigorously selected and sorted. Any grapes that are not ripe enough are discarded. The Carignan grapes are macerated on the skins, which gives the final wine a fruitier character. The other grapes are vinified in a traditional way, resulting in an elegant and somewhat more powerful wine. Half of the wine is aged in concrete tanks, and the other half in French oak barrels.

Enjoy the full and sultry La Cote La Clape

The typical Languedoc flavors are clearly evident in this deep red wine. The aroma offers plenty of blackcurrant, pepper, licorice, and a touch of smokiness. The palate is full-bodied and sensual, yet simultaneously smooth and seductive. A robust, powerful red wine brought to market with great passion by the Château La Negly winery.
