La Villette is an old Parisian neighborhood from which all of Paris was once supplied with wine and food. This was done by boat or horse-drawn carriage. The label of this wine bottle also refers to this. The river on which the boats sailed with supplies is depicted on the label. La Villette wines are made using the Vin de France label. This means that grapes from different regions may be blended together. La Villette Viognier is made from 100% Viognier grapes. The vineyards for this delicious white wine come from the Hérault department in the south of the Minervois region. This delightful Viognier even undergoes a light oak aging.
