This Langmeil white is ideal for all wine lovers who appreciate minimal residual sweetness. The Chardonnay grapes for this elegant wine come from the Eden Valley, Australia's most famous wine region.
Top wines from the Barossa Valley
Langmeil has a rich history dating back to 1842. Langmeil Winery is one of the leading wineries in the Barossa Valley. A true family business, it is managed by the Lindner family. Today, the sixth generation is at the helm. The winery's goal is to produce premium wines sourced 100% from the Barossa region using grape varieties that excel in the region. Chief Winemaker Paul Lindner now oversees the vinification process, paying particular attention to producing wines from individual vineyards. The entire process is meticulously executed to produce well-balanced wines with subtle complexity.
The cooler Eden Valley district is considered a particularly highly regarded source of high-quality white wine. After harvest, the grapes are sent directly to the winery. This wine is fermented in two stages: one in stainless steel tanks (without oak). The other stage begins its fermentation in tanks, but the fermentation process is interrupted with a few grams of residual sugar remaining. After this, the wine is transferred to French oak, which adds texture and finesse to the wine.
