Vintage Report
The 2022 vintage for South Australia (Barossa Valley) received an excellent score of 96 points. The wines are of exceptional quality, but currently still youthful and tannic.
The Barossa is renowned for its winemaking, history, and viticulture, which dates back to 1840. At its heart is the Valley Floor, a highly prized strip of vineyard that forms the foundation and essence of this wine. A true taste of the Barossa.
The potential of Langmeil
Langmeil has a rich history dating back to 1842. Langmeil Winery is one of the leading wineries in the Barossa Valley. It is a true family business, managed by the Lindner family. Today, the sixth generation is at the helm. The winery's goal is to produce premium wines sourced 100% from the Barossa region using grape varieties that excel in this region. The majority of Langmeil's Valley Floor Barossa Shiraz comes from Valley Floor's older vineyards. This wine is 100% open fermented, with no fining agents used, and minimal filtration to preserve the terroir to the fullest. For Langmeil, this is the wine that showcases its potential at a price point within reach of many. The powerful Valley Floor Shiraz Barossa Valley from Australia is a single-varietal wine made from the Syrah grape variety. The Valley Floor Shiraz Barossa Valley is a New World wine in the truest sense of the word, as this Australian exudes an extraordinary overseas charm that clearly underscores the success of New World wines. The berries for this Australian red wine are picked exclusively by hand when perfectly ripe. After harvest, the grapes reach the press house as quickly as possible. There, the grapes are selected and carefully pressed. Fermentation is followed by 24 months of aging in oak barrels. The result of 24 months of wood maturation
This Shiraz is purple-red in color, a generous and ripe (but not overripe) medium- to full-bodied Shiraz. Both the bouquet and the flavor are exceptionally rich, with notes of berries, plums, spices, and well-integrated oak. It can be enjoyed now but also ages well.Product details
