Since 1791, eight generations of the Miquel family have owned the vineyards of their estate, high in the hills of the Languedoc. Father to son, harvest after harvest, they deepen their knowledge of the vines that grow here and learn to work in harmony with nature. Laurent, the latest generation winemaker, combines the strength of his ancestors' wisdom with his rebellious and innovative approach to create wines with true Languedoc character. To honor his ancestors, he named this wine series Père et Fils, meaning Father and Sons.

Laurent Miquel has pioneered natural water management to ensure healthy vines throughout the growing season. The result is refined, high-quality wines to savor. Through carefully controlled fermentation, the grapes develop into wines with good structure and fruity character. To add complexity, some of the wine is aged in oak barrels for four months.

Laurent Miquel Père et Fils Cabernet is a deep ruby-red wine with an inviting aroma of ripe red fruit and hints of pepper and licorice. The well-structured palate offers a beautiful balance between soft tannins and ripe fruit, with a delicate, light spiciness and a hint of vanilla, finishing with a pleasantly surprising, long finish. This Cabernet is a very characterful wine that makes a wonderful aperitif and pairs beautifully with (grilled) meat and game dishes, spicy dishes, and mature cheeses.
