A new series of quality wines
Solas is Laurent Miquel's latest wine series, showcasing the exceptional quality potential of the South of France. Solas means "light" in Irish, and in Old French, it means joy, pleasure, and enjoyment. Neasa, Laurent's wife and also employed by the family business, is Irish. They created this unique series of wines from their favorite grape varieties. The talented owner and winemaker, Laurent Miquel, is making a name for himself with great success, having already received numerous praise and awards for his wines. The winery is located in the Saint-Chinian wine region, in the Languedoc region northeast of Béziers. Cazal Viel's vineyards are situated in the southern part of the region at an altitude of between one hundred and two hundred meters and cover approximately 140 hectares with a rocky subsoil of limestone, loam, and gravel.
The vinification and flavors of Laurent Miquel Solas Pinot Noir
For this Laurent Miquel Solas Pinot Noir, the grapes are harvested at night to preserve the flavors. Pre-fermentation involves refrigerated maceration for five to seven days to preserve the fruit aromas. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The Pinot Noir is then aged for six months in oak barrels, giving it a delicious bite! Solas Pinot Noir is a balanced, refined wine with a medium body. Both the aroma and flavor reveal rich notes of red cherry, raspberry, and black currant. Drink this Laurent Miquel Solas Pinot Noir at the right temperature (16 degrees Celsius) for an incomparable taste! Beautiful aromas from the oak aging are complemented by strawberries and rosemary, and hints of Indian spiced tea on the finish.
