The Merlot from Les Jamelles is a true, typical Merlot, but slightly different from what we're used to. Thanks to the various terroirs, this Merlot has unique characteristics. No fewer than five terroirs were selected: the valleys around Narbonne and the Aude River plain, which give the wine richness, length, and structure. The terroir along the coast near Béziers adds freshness. The vines are planted on slopes, and those from the Orb and Hérault valleys give the Merlot roundness, velvety tannins, and freshness.

The high quality of Les Jamelles

The name Les Jamelles has become a trademark for high-quality wines from unique terroirs. Winemakers Catherine and Laurent Delaunay personally guarantee the high technical standards of these wines. They are constantly on the road in the Languedoc, visiting local partner winemakers, selecting vineyards, and, supported by a team of oenologists, ensuring the wines are refined. The secret of Les Jamelles wines lies in the diversity of their terroirs. The finest grapes are harvested from different terroirs, combining to create a unique, high-quality wine. Each one is a true classic of the world-famous Les Jamelles winery. Harvest takes place early in the morning to preserve the grapes' freshness. Maceration follows in the winery for approximately two to four weeks. Part of the blend is aged in oak barrels, adding complexity. A small portion is made using thermovinification to enhance fruitiness, roundness, and smoothness.

The silky tannins of Les Jamelles Merlot

With intense colors, the Les Jamelles Merlot shines in the glass. We note aromas of cherries, wild strawberries, and caramel. Hints of cinnamon and nutmeg also appear. On the palate, the tannins are silky smooth. This is a well-balanced, easy-drinking Merlot that will delight many wine lovers.
