The ideal climate for Lunaria wines

The Lunaria winery operates not only organically but also biodynamically. They choose to use biodynamic agriculture, a method that constantly seeks innovative working methods and techniques. This involves strict regulations and high quality standards. The winery is part of the Cantina Orsogna cooperative, which has over 600 partners in Abruzzo. All wines produced come from this area, located 15 kilometers from the Adriatic coast. The vineyards are located near the second highest mountain in the Apennines, the Majello, at an altitude of between 300 and 450 meters. Thanks to this location, the grapes benefit from significant temperature differences between day and night. This allows the grapes to ripen perfectly and develop beautiful characteristics. Everything is geared towards high quality. Thanks to the knowledge and passion of the winemakers at Lunaria, they create beautiful wines that are very accessible. After the Montepulciano grapes are harvested, a rigorous selection process takes place in the vineyard itself. Some of the grapes are dried, resulting in a highly concentrated sugar and flavor profile. This method is called Appasimento. No yeast is added, and vinification takes place entirely in stainless steel. The Bucefalo is aged both in stainless steel tanks and in the bottle. After several months of rest, the wine is released to the market and ready to be enjoyed.

This Bucefalo has a ruby ​​red color. The nose immediately reveals notes of red fruit, black cherry jam, and almonds. The flavor is slightly sweet, warm, soft, and intense with a characteristic almond finish. This red wine pairs perfectly with red meat cooked with fruit, liver, game, or a delicious chocolate cake.
