Lunaria wines are known for their wonderful flavor, aroma, and structure. And above all, incredibly delicious. So we know that a wine from this winery will never disappoint. This also applies to this Coste Di Moro Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. They use biodynamic methods, with Demeter certification. That is undoubtedly one of the secrets of their success. They also released this Coste Di Moro in the same style. Only the very best grapes are used during a very good harvest. And that is how you get this fantastic red wine.

The authentic power of Coste Di Moro Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

The Lunaria winery, along with 600 other partners, is part of the Cantina Orsogna cooperative. Lunaria produces beautiful, pure wines, each with its own unique story, making them a standout within the cooperative. The wines are sourced from an area 15 kilometers from the Adriatic coast, where the vineyards benefit from a wonderful climate. The label features a mad bull, which stands for "La mia furia è autentica forza," meaning "my anger is authentic strength." Does this represent the power of the Montepulciano grape, or the character of the winemaker himself? We daren't say. Whatever it means, the result is superb! The wine even received a silver medal from Mundus Vini. This Costo di Moro is made from Montepulciano grapes. These grapes are cultivated pergola-style and planted in vineyards at an average altitude of 300 to 450 meters.

Four months of wood aging for Coste Di Moro

During vinification, skin maceration lasts for 20 to 25 days, resulting in a beautiful concentration of fruit. The wine is partially aged in oak barrels for four months. This red wine from Lunaria is round, sultry, fruity, and powerful. As soon as we pour it into the glass, the delicious aromas of ripe cherries, sweetened red fruit, and plums are released. There are also hints of toast and chocolate. On the palate, the Coste Di Moro Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is intense, full-bodied, and velvety smooth. A sultry, concentrated fruity flavor with some earthy spice and a chocolate accent. The wine finishes with a soft, sweet finish.
