Finca Luzón Blanco Macabeo Sauvignon Blanc 2024, Jumilla
Refreshing, tropical, and surprisingly elegant: Finca Luzón Blanco 2024 combines the best of two grape varieties in a modern style perfectly suited to sunny Jumilla. This white wine is produced by Bodegas Luzón, a winery renowned for its powerful wines from southeastern Spain. While Monastrell is the pride of the region, this blend demonstrates that white wines also excel here. While not organically certified, it is vinified with the same care and precision as the wines in their organic line.
Vineyards and region
The vineyards are located at an altitude of 650 meters in Jumilla and are planted on sandy, loamy, and limestone soils. This altitude creates a strong contrast between warm days and cool nights. This temperature difference preserves the grapes' acidity and aromatic freshness, essential for white wines in this warm climate.
Vinification and maturation
The grapes are gently pressed after harvest. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 10 to 16°C. This process lasts 15 to 20 days and is entirely focused on preserving fresh fruit aromas. Wood is deliberately avoided, so the wine revolves entirely around its fruity and vibrant character.
Grape composition
Macabeo and Sauvignon Blanc – a striking combination where Macabeo provides structure and soft fruit notes, while Sauvignon Blanc gives the wine liveliness and tropical freshness.

What makes this wine special?
This white blend from Luzón isn't part of the organic line, but it does share the winery's modern, fresh signature. The altitude of the vineyards and the meticulous vinification process create a distinct character not often seen in Macabeo from southern Spain. An expressive white wine for those seeking something refreshing without sacrificing depth.
