The beginning of the Marco Felluga winery

The history of the Marco Felluga winery dates back to the mid-1800s. It began in Croatia and lasted until 1930 when Giovanni Felluga decided to settle in Friuli. In 1936, Marco took over the helm and founded the current Marco Felluga winery. Since then, the winery has continuously sought a balance between tradition and innovation, always prioritizing high quality. Marco Felluga's vineyards are located in four distinct areas of the Collio region: Farra d'Isonzo, San Floriano del Collio, Oslavia, and Cormòns. Marco Felluga's Chardonnay is produced from carefully selected and hand-harvested grapes, usually between late August and early September. The bunches brought to the cellar are destemmed and then undergo cold maceration on the skins for several hours before being softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures for several weeks before the wine is refined, which remains in stainless steel containers for at least six months to preserve all the freshness and aromas of the varietal before bottling.

The tropical aromas of Collio Chardonnay

This Marco Felluga Collio Chardonnay has a broad bouquet of tropical fruit, pineapple, apples, and pears on the nose. The palate is round and robust, with lovely flavors of peach, pineapple, yellow apple, and ripe pears. Above all, it's ripe and powerful with a thick structure.
