These nineteen aspiring winemakers quickly made the winery flourish. They worked closely together, and they sought out more winemakers of the same caliber. Today, the Masseria Pietrosa winery is known for Winemaker Filippo Baccalaro, who is unparalleled in transforming grapes into beautiful, full-bodied wines. In the heart of southern Italy's wine region, Salento, lies the vineyards for this white wine. Sauvignon Blanc is chosen alongside Malvasia. These two grape varieties complement each other perfectly, creating a creamy yet refreshing style. But before this happens, the bunches ripen in a perfect climate with abundant sunshine and cooling ocean breezes. This creates the perfect balance between warmth and coolness. The harvest for this white wine is harvested early in the morning. This protects the grapes from oxidation and bruising during transport to Masseria Pietrosa.
