Sustainable wines from Miquel Torres
Originally Spanish, the Miquel Torres winery was the first foreign company to invest in wine production in Chile. With 140 years of experience, they decided to acquire several vineyards nestled in the beautiful Chilean landscape. The winery's roots lie in Spain, where their adventure began in the Curico Valley in 1979. They sought the best weather conditions and created space for innovation in wine production. Today, Miquel Torres focuses on organic farming. This allows them to work more sustainably each year, while maintaining great respect for nature.
After harvest, the grapes are taken directly to the winery for 16 days of maceration. The grapes are then destemmed and carefully pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in stainless steel for 11 days. Finally, the wine is aged for another 8 months in French oak barrels.
The fruity aromas of Miguel Torres Andica Gran Reserva Carmenere
The Gran Reserva Carmenere emerges with a cherry-red color. Fine fruity aromas complemented by balsamic and herbal notes are immediately noticeable. The palate is balanced, elegant, and smooth. Juicy acidity balances everything beautifully and leads to a long, pleasant finish. This red wine pairs perfectly with veal and beef, as well as various fish dishes.
