Quality winemaking by Miguel Torres

Originally Spanish, the Miquel Torres winery was the first foreign company to invest in winemaking in Chile. With 140 years of experience, they decided to acquire several vineyards nestled in the beautiful Chilean landscape. The winery's roots lie in Spain, where their adventure began in 1979 in the Curico Valley. They sought the best weather conditions and created space for innovation in wine production. Today, Miquel Torres focuses on organic farming. This allows them to work more sustainably each year and with great respect for nature. Today, the fifth generation is at the helm and they continue to work hard every day to build their growing reputation. At the end of March, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes are carefully harvested. Once they arrive at the winery, they are destemmed and macerated for three hours at a low temperature. Once this is complete, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place. This takes about 16 days. The wine is then given the necessary rest, but is not aged in oak or steel.
