This latest wine from Montresor winery is a fusion of art and winemaking. Both we and the Montresor winemaker believe that winemaking is a pure art, both on paper and in the bottle. To further emphasize this, they sought an artist to decorate the wall of the tanks with graffiti. The result was so beautiful that it inspired the winemaker to create a special wine with the entire wall printed on the label. A modern wine made with the renowned Appassimento technique, also used in the renowned and expensive Amarone.

The old vineyard for the Montresor Wine Urban Park

This red wine is made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes. This trio is well-known, as these grapes are blended throughout the region. Located north of Verona, the Montresor winery boasts its ancient vineyards, a long history that makes it a leader in modern wines with long traditions. The grapes come from very old vines, rooted in powerful soil where wine has been produced for hundreds of years. The vigorous bunches are harvested entirely by hand and placed in small crates. These crates are then stored in the cellar's attic. Yes, you read that right, the crates are then stored for at least thirty days. The bunches dry, and the resulting juice is exquisite. After pressing, some of this red wine is aged for up to six months in oak barrels. The result is a mini Amarone!

Full and very powerful this Mini Amarone

Is it a "Mini Amarone"? Can we say so? Yes, we think so. A wine with the same characteristics, but less complex. The celebration begins immediately upon pouring, as a ruby red color sparkles in the glass. With our noses at the rim of the glass, we noted impressions of ripe red and black fruit with subtle spicy undertones. Also noticeable are amarena cherries and cinnamon. On the palate, it leaves the tongue feeling soft and pure. Beautiful nuances of amarena cherries, spices, vanilla, and a touch of dark chocolate. The intense flavor of this Montresor Wine Urban Park Appassimento is truly delightful. The finish is soft and refined, making it a true friend. And let's be honest, the label is beautiful and modern. It gives us a clear impression of the wine, unique and artistic.
